Mischief Managed: Episode Six

Hi, all! I’ve pulled together a new Mischief managed episode which includes all kinds of fun nuggets from Goop to The Pink Tax to a great deal and steal I found at my sometimes not so favorite place, Walmart. I hope you find something that interests you.

Until next time, be full of love today.

Lupita Nyong

I didn’t want this podcast to end. It was such a lovely conversation and it made me love Lupita even more. You won’t be sorry to give it a listen.

my daily routine

instant facial

I absolutely love this Goop product…it tingles just a little and you’re supposed to use it just a few times a week but I pretty much use it daily. I think it’s reversing the aging process for me. Just kidding! But I do like the way it makes my skin look and feel.

I want one

iris apfel barbie

Remember my blog about Iris and her documentary? I haven’t wanted a Barbie since 8th grade when I secretly asked for the Holiday barbie that Christmas. Now I’m 48 and I want this one. Do I have to wait until Christmas?

three identical strangers

This stranger than life documentary takes a fascinating and creepy turn after these three brothers find each other at age 19. It’s free to watch if you have a Hulu subscription.

have you heard?

the pink tax

Did you know that on average, as a woman, we are paying more money for the same things that a man buys? As much as 13% more. WTF??? And don’t get me started on paying a tax on feminine care products — as far as I know there are several states that have dropped the “tampon tax.” But why should women have to pay 13% more for the same product geared towards a man? I’ve long ago given up my pink pretty razors and switched to Harry’s which is totally geared towards a man, but you know what? It works just the same as my pretty pink razor.

work wardrobe addition

hi neck blouse

Since I’m back to working outside my home office, I needed to add a few new pieces to my work wardrobe. Since I’m not willing to invest in a job that I’m not completely sold on yet, I wanted and needed to do it on a budget. I found this little gem on Walmart.com for a whopping $15.50. It fits amazing. I absolutely love the loose hi-neck feature. Trust me you’ll like it too.
