So, yeah. We are a family of 5+ (Lulu & Otto count too!).  We are busy.  Things fall through the cracks.  Some days, weeks, and months feel like a constant fire drill.  So when we find something that calms our chaos (and even provides humor), we like to tell our friends.

Game Changers will more than likely become a series.  We will deliver the first three chapters in the coming days...

CHAPTER ONE:  JANICE

A few years ago we had dark, hardwood floors installed on the main floor of our home.  We love them, but had we known that months later we would be adopting the most adorable white short-haired mutt, we probably would have rethought our choice for the dark wood.  It became a huge stressor.  Our Swiffer mop became our new best friend.  Each evening we had to add to our already impossible schedules, the chore of swiffering and swiffering and swiffering.  We Swiffered constantly ---I even put the Swiffer sheets on Amazon Subscribe and Save auto-ship.  We bought a cordless Dyson to compliment our plug-in Dyson.  It was a never-ending struggle to keep up with Otto and his hair.  We had a problem.

"I know my white hair gets everywhere, but look how cute I am."

"I know my white hair gets everywhere, but look how cute I am."

Then, the following Mother's Day Derek bought me the most amazing present.   Janice.  Janice is our iRobot Roomba Robot Vacuum.  I know, some of you might be thinking, "A vacuum for Mother's Day?  How romantic."  Dude.  I. Don't. Care.  Janice is the most amazing present ever given in the universe of gifts.  She gave us our evenings back.  She reduces my stress level better than any Xanax ever could.  She is one of my trusted and reliable friends.  Janice works every day from 12-1 PM.  When we come home from school, practices, and work, our floors are respectfully clean.  Problem solved.

"How long is this Janice going to be around?"

"How long is this Janice going to be around?"

All the humans in our house fully appreciate all she does for us each day.  We each endearingly refer to her as if she is part of the family.  Remember Rosie from the Jetsons?  Yeah, Janice is our Rosie.
