Mischief Managed: Episode Four
Hi, y’all! It’s been awhile and I’m sorry. Once again, work (that pays the bills) has kept me away from Flynns and truth be told, writing these blogs takes a lot longer than I thought they would. Not because I’m a perfectionist (obviously you’ve noticed a few typos here and there---or all over the place) but because writing is hard work, y’all. On average, each of the 17 blogs I’ve written since November have taken over 5 hours per blog start to finish. It’s like real homework. But I do love this sort of homework and I’ll keep praying and working hard to keep it going.
BTW —Total sidebar here...I bought three new domains this past month —-I’ve got all these ideas spinning and whirling around in my head (it's scary up there). Executing is the problem!! But----back to the blog….
Today’s blog is another episode of Mischief Managed. You’ll find the other three episodes, here, here, and here. This time, besides offering you a few favorite finds and good deals, I’ll throw in a few other tidbits of information that either made me smile or got me excited for whatever reason.
Click the pictures above for the mischief mentioned below...
Funnelneck Striped Shirt | J.Crew $68 (30% off with code: DIYUMSN) | I Love everything about this shirt. I promptly ordered it with my $50 J.Crew gift card. I hope I love it as much in person. Did you know March 31st is National Stripes Day? Can't wait.
Pearl Twisted Hammock Necklace | J.Crew $98 (30% off with code: DIYUMSN) | This is the perfect necklace for just about any outfit. You guys I bought this necklace 3 years ago and I still love it. It dresses up any casual outfit and is the finishing touch for that wedding outfit you pulled together last minute. I love wearing mine with my chambray denim shirt----and I usually get a compliment or two when I wear it. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
Reusable Everyday Tote in Navy Stripes | J.Crew $8 | I mean COME ON??!! 8 bucks? It's a steal. Pick it up for that last-minute birthday present you'll need next month--throw in a nautical themed beach towel and mindless book and your gift went from last-minute birthday to most loved birthday present.
Hammered Zodiac Trinket Dish | Anthropologie SALE $3.95 | I picked up whatever zodiac signs were left. Again these make great birthday gifts - pair it with these adorable gold stud earrings and you're a winner all day long.
King Linen White Down Alternative Comforter | Amazon $39.99 King Size | I bought this duvet earlier this month and we really like it. Major, major win at 39 bucks, y'all. It washes super easy --unlike traditional down and is the perfect weight providing just enough warmth. I love how it looks without a duvet cover in the pic above and I'm honestly not too happy with the duvet cover I bought at Ikea. It's a really nice duvet cover...it just doesn't look the way I was imagining it...I hate when that happens.
Natasha Slip-on Bootie | Sole Society $53.97 SALE | WHY??? Why can't I need a pair of booties right now? I just love these little guys. Please buy them and tell me you love them and send me pictures of you wearing them out with your besties drinking moscow mules and just laughing and laughing.....ahhh. yeah.
Kadence Faux Leather Shoulder Bag | Nordstrom (bag by Sole Society) $41.96 SALE | Again. Why don't I need another bag. I can't buy another bag. I love this bag. You should buy it.
BIC Atlantis Original Retractable Ball Point Pen | Amazon $3.94/4count | You may have realized by now that I obsess over the silliest things. Well, add these pens to the list. I love a good pen. And by that I don't mean price - I mean how it writes. I have fairly neat penmanship but these pens make a huge difference! These pens complete me when I'm sitting at my desk or writing in one of my flat notebooks. #littlethingsarebigthings
And guess what else you guys? Here are two fun tidbits I learned from my daily Skimm in my inbox today.
Soon we'll be able to call the moon. Yep. The moon will get its first mobile phone network enabling calls from the moon back to planet earth. "Mom. You'll never guess where I'm calling from."
Get your fancy pants ready. Starbucks just opened its first of 1,000 Reserve restaurants on the ground floor of its Seattle headquarters location. Booze with my sbux? Yes, please.
